SHEA Water Passport (Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness)

(Construction and Utilities)

 

To provide training and assessment for the basic areas of Health, Safety and Environment for all operatives or managers  working on Water network or treatment networks in the UK.

This course has been designed to assure the basic standard of individuals working on site and to give them sufficient knowledge and awareness to ensure the safety of themselves and others.

Energy and Utility Skills is aimed to ensure that workers know the basics of these topics.

 

Successful completion of the course will lead to the EUSR Card - SHEA Passport - Water.

 

 

Course Structure


The course is made up of seven core modules:

1.     You and the Law.

2.      Identification & Control of Hazards

3.     Protecting You

4.     Working Environment

5.     Our Environment

6.     Incident procedures.

7.     Equipment

                          There are three Network Modules (as appropriate)

8.      Network Operations Health Issues

9.     Working in the Highway

10.   Excavations

                        

There are three Process Modules (as appropriate

11.  Process Operations Health Issues

12.  The Working Environment

13.  Machinery and Equipment




The course consists of a series of slides using Microsoft PowerPoint software.

After each module is a set of multiple course question are displayed.

Group size


The maximum is twelve participants (with a minimum of 6) per course.

Duration


Normally about six hours including paperwork and tests.

 

Tutor


The tutor has 30 years experienced in the utility industry as H&S Adviser/ Site Manager / HSE Trainer and Operative. He is a Health and Safety Practitioner, GradIOSH
